Balenciaga Exhibition
at Victoria & Albert Museum

Cristóbal Balenciaga is
"the master of us all" (Christian Dior)
and
"the couturier in the truest sense of the word" (Coco Chanel).
I would also call him "the Womens' Artist", his often spare,
sculptural creations were considered masterworks
of haute couture in the 1950s and 1960s.

The Exhibition is currently placed at the Victoria & Albert Museum,
everything is looking stunning, it makes you explore all the stage
the designer went trough during his years of work,
all the different shapes and the structures, the textures and the decorations,
all the innovation along the years, all perfect curated, it was making me feel in a time machine that was bringing me at the same age and getting me ready
to work on his side.

The things I loved the most were the videos of his most important works showing all the structures, the cuts and the processes that the dressmakers were going trough working
by hands, until the end, when it appears his client wearing these fabulous dresses.

It is been just amazing looking at the story and progression of one
of my Favourite Artist,
I suggest all to have a attend and admire how amazing is the story of an Artist,
the development of embroidery and the studies of new shapes.
He created wonderful sculpture and made woman feel stronger and beautiful.

On the First Floor there are amazing works from other artist designed for the Brand
and Inspiration that other designer took from Balenciaga works.

It is great to see Balenciaga as example and inspiration for so many
different Fashion Designer during the time
and how they revisited that work with their own ideas.
